Ways To Get Pokemon Go Stardust – Complete Guide

Posted on January 31, 2020 Written by admin Leave a Comment

Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game centered around Pokemon and the real world. Since 2016, it’s been a hit sensation and has spread across the world. The Pokemon fanatics have met up locally around the world simply to join forces. Pokemon Go Stardust is a foundational resource that allows you to increase CP values which stands for Combat Power.

Stardust gives your Pokemon an automatic Power-Up and increases their CP. This game can be downloaded on your mobile device and uses GPS tracking technology to show where you are and augment reality to have Pokemon appear in real-time locations. From there, you have the ability to catch, train and battle each other using Pokemon.

Luckily there are numerous ways to earn Stardust, so you can boost up your Pokemon!

Pokemon Go Stardust – Catching a Wild Pokemon

You will earn Pokemon Go stardust for simply catching Pokemon out in the wild! The amount, however, depends on the stage your Pokemon is currently in. For example, if your Pokemon is in its first evolution, your Pokemon receives 100 stardusts. A second evolution, your Pokemon receives 300 and third evolution, it’ll be 500.

Also, note you can automatically earn 500 stardusts for the first Pokemon you catch every day! If you’re looking to get stardusts fast, simply go to low-level areas to catch weaker and common Pokemon. Let’s say you can catch one Pokemon per minute, which is equal to 100 stardust per Pokemon you caught.

In half an hour, you can earn 3,000 Stardusts! To find Pokemon faster, you can drop lures and incense as well. Also, remember that seasonal holidays will increase the spawning rates of Pokemon allowing you to catch more Pokemon and earn more Stardust!

Catch Pokemon Influenced By Weather

Earn 25% more Stardusts by catching Pokemon influenced by the weather. You’ll know when a Pokemon is affected by the weather if you see a blue swirling effect around that Pokemon when they appear. They are also significantly stronger than your normal Pokemon.

The possible weather types and which types of Pokemon are affected:

  • Sunny – Fire, Grass, Ground
  • Rainy – Bug, Electric, Water
  • Cloudy – Rock, Fairy, Fighting, Poison
  • Windy – Dragon, Flying, Psychic
  • Snow – Ice, Steel
  • Fog – Dark, Ghost

Hatching Eggs

Every time you hatch an egg, you will earn Stardust! By walking around, you’ll find eggs lying around. However, in order to hatch an egg, you need an incubator. Incubators are inventory tools used to hatch eggs and found at Pokestops and Gyms.

The problem is that depending on your incubator, you are limited to how many eggs you can hatch. For example, you could own 10 eggs, but if you have a blue incubator or super incubator you can only hatch 3 eggs. An unlimited incubator allows for infinite uses.

Also, you should know there are different types of eggs: 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km eggs. The higher the KM, the greater the stardust you’ll receive. Also the greater the km, the rarer of a Pokemon you’ll usually get. So if you have the free incubator, it’s best to save them for hatching 10km eggs!

Win And Participate In Raid Battles

If you join raid battles, you’ll get 500 stardusts just for competing. Raid battles are when a boss Pokemon takes over a gym. These can be time-sensitive and location-based. Also depending on the tier of Raid, (there are 5 tiers) you get more Stardusts for winning.

Feed Berries To Pokemon In A Gym

Though you won’t gain a ton of stardusts, they can add up. You gain 20 stardust by simply feeding berries to your Pokemon when battling a Gym. Pokemon Go allows you to feed up to 10 unique Pokemon up to 10 berries in a 30-minute window. After that 30 minute window, you can feed another 10.

Themed Or Seasonal Events

Pokemon Go typically has special events such as the Water Festival. You’ll want to be on the lookout for them. Trainers have the opportunity to gain stardusts simply by participating in them.

How To Maximize The Amount Of Pokemon Go Stardust

Face it, if you want to maximize the amount of Pokemon Go Stardusts in the least amount of time, you’ll have to spend some money and also have a strategy in place.

  1. You’ll want to purchase the Pokemon Go Plus version allowing you to catch as many Pokemon as possible.
  2. Purchase incubators especially the unlimited ones to hatch as many eggs as possible. You’ll have to walk around a lot to find these eggs.
  3. Keep feeding berries every time you are battling a gym.
  4. Open all of the 20 gifts a day to maximize the potential amount of Stardusts rewarded.
  5. Finish the Field Research tasks given which provide stardusts as bonuses. By spinning at Pokestops you’ll receive Field Research tasks which are missions that can be completed.
  6. Use up your free Raid Pass and purchase more passes to participate in as many Raids as possible
  7. Gain star pieces that give you a 1.5x boost in getting more stardust than normal. They can be obtained at the shop in exchange for Pokecoins.
  8. Be on the lookout in forums for local stardust events.

Stardusts give you the insane ability to power up Pokemon and give them god-like features such as tanky Blissey and maxed-out Machamps. You’ll also need stardusts to make trades with your friends. Other things stardusts can be used for are using charge moves in PVP battles and purifying Shadow Pokemon.

We know all of this information can be a lot to take in, but if you follow these methods, you can get the most out of Pokemon Go stardust.
