Do you know how to find and catch the hidden Pokemon on your Pokemon Go? There are many rare Pokemon that don’t appear in the Alola region. If you don’t know how to catch them, no need to worry anymore. Island Scan is back to Pokemon Sun and Moon with an entire list of new Pokemon for you to unlock.

Here we provide you with a simple way to catch rare Pokemon in Pokemon Sun and Moon. As well, we’ve listed rare Pokemon that have hidden ability on the game. So, without any further fuss, let’s try to catch the hidden Pokemon on the list.

What is Island Scan?

Island Scan is a newly introduced feature that allows you to scan the whole island. The feature scans the entire island you are currently on and based on the day of the week you will see rare Pokemon that you cannot capture in the usual gameplay. To unlock this feature, you need to obtain 100 points.

How to get an Island scan?

To activate the Island scan, you need to earn enough QR code points. Each QR code in the game corresponds to one Pokemon in the Pokedex. You can simply use the default camera to scan this QR code and feed them to your Pokedex.

How to scan the QR code?

  • Start the game.
  • Click the Menu option.
  • On the following screen, click the QR scanner option.
  • Now, place the camera over the Pokemon QR code and snap it.

Note: You can only scan 10 QR codes per day. Each scan will reward you with 10 points. If you reach 100 points, you can make use of the Island Scan feature.

A Pokemon that you find using the island scan may vary depending on the day of the week, island and the location. Pokemon with the hidden ability that you find using the island scan will be obtainable only for an hour. Here is a list of obtainable Pokemon that you can find on your island.
