  1. If your console is ON, just Turn it OFF by pressing the Power Button on the front panel of your console.
  2. Once the console is OFF, press the power button again and release it after hearing the second beep sound. One beep will sound when you press the button and the other will sound seven seconds later. 
  3. Then, connect the PS4 controller with the micro-USB cable and the PS button on the controller. 
  4. That’s it. You should then see the Safe Mode shortly on your screen.

1. Restart PS4

2. Change Resolution

4. Restore Default Settings

This option helps to Restore your PS4 to the factory settings. However, restoring it to factory settings will not delete the stored data on your hard drive but will remove the settings applied to your console. 

5. Rebuild Database

As it reorganizes everything on your drive, you can clean the data on your PS4 console with this option. Make use of this option if you are facing issues like frame rate drops.

6. Initialize PS4

Removes all user data and restores the console to its factory version. Hence, back up your data before initializing your console. You can either store your data to an Online Storage or a USB storage device. 

7. Reinstall System Software

After initializing PS4, Download the reinstallation version of your PS4 software and install it on your device via USB.
